Dear Friends,
Just a quick note to let you
know what’s happening in the
continuing saga of Janice’s
cancer journey.
It started 10-12 days ago with a
stomach ache, which turned out
to be misplaced pain. After a
week of hospitalization, CT
scan, MRI, x-rays, and blood
labs, it was confirmed yesterday
that Janice has a tumor/mass
growing in her pancreas.
Tomorrow morning (Friday) a
scope will travel down her
throat and into her stomach,
then go across through the small
intestine and into the pancreas
where a biopsy will be taken.
Results should be known by
Tuesday, Oct. 2nd,
and surgery is scheduled for
Oct. 3rd. The
doctors say that multiple
Myeloma is unusual in a
pancreas, but the mass does
appear cancerous. Only the
biopsy will confirm if it is
benign or malignant.
Thank you for your prayers. We
will keep you updated as we
receive information. Janice and
I are hopeful for a good
outcome.
Jim
